POOR SPORT (Victoria, BC)
Formed in Victoria, British Columbia, poor sport are a dynamic pop-punk/emo band comprised of Noah Edwards on vocals and guitar, Eric Paone on guitar, Jon Graves on bass and Mike Battle on Drums. They use songwriting to explore the dark parts of the human experience and aim to make music that provides catharsis and acceptance of those difficult emotions. With vulnerable lyrics, explosive drums and intricate guitar parts they are akin to bands like The Story So Far, Hot Mulligan, Free Throw and Movements.
Their debut EP “apartments” was released in 2023, followed up by ‘last call’ in Summer, 2024. They have begun playing shows all over their home province of British Columbia in Western Canada and look to release more music in 2025, as well as tour dates further and further from the rock they call home.
FOLDED HAND (Calgary, AB)
Soaring vocal melodies imbued with emotion, modulated guitar parts ranging from introspective soundscapes to thundering rhythms, and motific drumming executed with conviction: this is the palette that new project Folded Hand continues to establish following its members’ decade of involvement in the Canadian music scene.
The group aims to take listeners on a reflective journey through the fraying and rebuilding of hope, connecting to them on a personal level through their heart-on-your-sleeve songwriting.
CLOAKER (Kelowna, BC)
Taking influence from every direction, it is hard to fit the band into a specific genre. There are no limits with the band's somgwriting and that is clear when listening to their discography.
